The Lutheran faith tradition is based on a life-transforming story. It’s a story of a powerful and compassionate God who has boundless love for all people of the world, who brings justice for the oppressed, seeks peace in every land, and who works through humanity to restore us all.  It’s a story of Jesus Christ, changing lives with healing, provision, acceptance and grace. What to wear. Wear what's comfortable for you!  Some people will be here all dressed up - marking Sunday as a special day and wanting to show honor and respect for God.  Others will dress more casually, recognizing that God sees beyond the external and welcomes everyone.  Some wear dresses and some wear sweat pants!  We greatly appreciate, though, the use of good sense in dressing for worship, to show respect for self and others as we gather as a community in God's presence.

The Role of Women in the Lutheran Church
In the Bible, in the book of Galatians, Paul writes, "male and female, all are one in Christ Jesus." In other words, there is no distinction in rank between men and women. Whereas in past centuries (and still in some church bodies today), women were held to a lower level, in the ELCA this just isn't so.
